The Byzantine Castle of KassiopiCorfu

Opposite the bell tower of the church, there is a winding path leads that leads to the central gate of the castle of Kassiopi. The castle that has survived is Byzantine but a mystery who considered to be the work of Manuel A’ Komnenos (1143-1180) emperor of Constantinople. However a few years ago, during its repair works, this theory was abolished since new findings came to light that prove it as having been built much earlier (maybe before 6th b.C. century)
